Aberdeen
I bade farewell to Monica. She gave me a small bottle of wine, tinned mussels and salmon for a picnic on the train. Her friend, John, gave me a lift to Leuchas station.
On the ride to Inverness I had a three-hour stopover in Aberdeen. This city looked to be built of concrete because of the light gray colour building stones. Actually it is granite.
I was caught in the rain when I was painting this picture of Union Street. I found a 'Whitherspoon Free House' in the building shown in the right hand corner, and dashed into it from across the street.
