Nairn
We woke up early and went to the bicycle shop to rent bicycles to go to Cawdor Castle. But the shop, called "Highland Cycle", didn't rent cycles at this time of the year. Worse still, we were told at the tourist information centre that Cawdor Castle wasn't open to the public until May because the family of the landlord was using it for themselves. We changed our mind and went to the beach at Nairn, at the staff's suggestion. There was nothing but the sea - no shops, no restaurants, and no pub, to attract us.
