Salisbury

I couldn't sleep very well and woke up at half past 2. I began to think of my previous several painting holidays in the UK. I admitted to myself that I hadn't painted many pictures so far this time and recognized that my energy level was deteriorating over the years. I decided to go for a one-day excursion to Salisbury to paint. Above is the scene from the train window near Grateley. Below is the river Avon which I painted from the tree stump on the river bank. There was a mother goose and her babies. One fragile chick drifted on the river on her back, trying to grab at the air. The mother and other babies seemed to be at a loss what to do, as well as me!
