"Wetherspoon pub"
I saw off my two artist ladies who had travelled with me these ten days. They got a taxi to Heathrow Airport to fly back to Japan. I decided to stay in my room until check-out time, and then moved to the first class lounge at Euston station to kill time, until departure time to The Isle of Man by Easy Jet. In the lounge I ate the complimentary breakfast and discovered I had lost the key to my suitcase! Quite conveniently there was a locksmith shop in the station and I could change the lock. That's about all the time I wasted.
Easy Jet was not easy for me! I had grappled with the computer for almost one hour to book the flight and mandatory internet-check-in the previous day. I asked at the reception of the student apartments how to print the provided boarding pass in my E-mail box. The receptionist was kind and smart enough to suggest I forward the E-mail to his computer, and he printed it out easily. After the long queue at the luggage drop-off point in Gatwick Airport, I drank a pint of San Miguel, painted a small sketch and had a chat with a couple on the next table who were from Brighton. Then I rushed to the gate. The hotel which I had booked through Easy Jet was in walking distance from the Isle of Man Airport and was in the middle of nowhere. Worse still it was raining. I was afraid to go out by bus that night. It was the first rain I had encountered in England this year. Apparently the two ladies had taken the sun back to Japan!
