"Leanach cottage in the Culloden battlefield"
It was the remains of a cottage which has survived since the last land battle in the UK, in which King George II's troops defeated Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite supporters in 1746. While I was painting this picture almost all the visitors tried to open the closed door, as I too, did.
