"Queen Eleanor's Cross Monument"
This is a 21st Century's modern monument of Queen Eleanor's Cross, inspired by the "lost cross". Originally 12 stone monuments were erected for King Edward I's wife Queen Eleanor following her death in 1290. Each monument represents a resting place when her body was taken to London. I painted the modern cross from an outside table of The Golden Fleece pub.
