Larncost Priory
I couldn't find a nice place from where to paint the gate and the facade of Lanercost Priory. I painted this picture from a bench in the court. There were two grass cutters working nearby using a machine. It was very cold and as I had drunk a lot the night before I felt sick and had the shivers. I quit painting and had a cappuccino at the restaurant. I had to wait over two hours for the bus which would take me back to Carlisle. So I called a taxi and went to Brampton Station. I had to wait about one and half hours for the next train. I couldn't use the return ticket of the bus, and had to pay extra money 8 for the taxi and 4.50 for the train.
