Dover Castle Dover Castle was one of the most well-preserved castles I've ever seen. I was thinking what the modern equivalent of a medieval castle was. I learned that Dover Castle was not just a relic, but was a working castle, to guard against potential invasion from the continent, until as late as 1952.
