The Adapted Spire Left: 　I painted Salisbury Cathedral in the rain, from a bench under a tree. Right: 　I painted this picture of the highest spire in England from the cloister. I realized that the spire had been adapted and there was no hollow in the spire to make us feel inspired when we looked up at the ceiling of the cathedral.
