The Twenty-eighth Assignment
I felt that I had got some kind of useful tip from this morning exercise. I painted these two paintings to work out overlays over the underpainting. First I applied a quick watery underpainting and wiped off the significant shape with tissue paper, waited for it to dry, and then added various colour layers. The sunlight on the road filtering down through the trees leads our eyes to the brighter street in the distance.
