The Thirtieth Assignment
At the session on the very last night we gathered with pencils and a sketch pad. First we drew the person opposite only by looking at her or him, and never moving our eyes down to the table where we held the sketch pad unseen. After that we saw our poor figure drawings each other. Then we drew the same person in the ordinary way, placing the sketch pad on the table. We enjoyed figure drawings. Apparently Paul wanted to make us understand the importance of the shapes and our careful observation of them.
