Planning for the New Year holiday. Before I went to St. Andrews to spend Christmas with Monica and her friends I rang from the reception desk of the hotel to friends in Leeds, Dumfries, Galloway, and Surrey, to ask if I could visit them. Luckily, Peter in Surrey said he would be able to receive me. Unfortunately, the others were away from home during the New Year holidays.
