The Crown We visited the famous pub "The Bell". We didn't know why it was closed and there was a sign saying to go to "The Crown". When we returned to Ann's house we learned that a fire had broken out the previous night at "The Bell". Again Ann was unhappy with my portrait of her which I painted in "The Crown" pub. She disapproved of my rendition of her face, saying it looked like a Francis Bacon painting!
