The Spread Eagle First I regretted that I booked a budget hotel, the Holiday Inn Express in Croydon. But I could use an Oyster card to get on one of the frequent trains from Victoria Station. I thought it was not so bad to stay in one of the London boroughs for the first night after my long flight. I had dinner at 'The Spread Eagle' pub and then I laid spread-eagled on the bed in this adequate hotel, 25 hours after I got up from my bed in Japan!
