West Sands #2
When we paint a calm lake or river we try to paint it flat and the reflection of the sky helps make it easier to paint. I like to paint the wet shoreline because for a brief moment when the tide recedes it looks like a calm lake. The solution in capturing it is to wait for the next wave without blinking. The waves are similar to buses at a busy bus stop in London - they come and go; if you miss one the next one will come soon.
