Lochranza Castle After this painting I visited a local art exhibition at the Assembly Hall across the road. Then I went to the Lochranza Hotel where I met Ryoko-san, who is one of only three Japanese residents on Arran, and the watercolour artist Mollie, who originally came from the UK and now lives in Malaysia. I was able to take a bus to Blackwater Foot, and on the way I saw the calm, pearly- coloured sea from the bus window.
