"Melrose Abbey"
One of our members insisted we come to Melrose Abbey, so we came here on a three-hour bus ride to carry out her wish. Robert the Bruce's heart is supposed to be buried on the abbey's grounds. However, what lured her to Melrose is the poem "The Lay of the Last Minstrel" written by Sir Walter Scott. It is absolutely incomprehensible to me. Nevertheless, I think she might able to respond to metrical romances in her capacity as a former music teacher. |
