"Hammersmith Bridge" I decided not to go to London but stay around Hammersmith. Hammersmith Bridge has been repaired and reinforced on several occasions, due to the weight and volume of road traffic and the bomb attack by the IRA. Its suspension towers look grand. However, other structural members such as the chains, vertical rods, the carriageway and footways look delicate and complicated.
