"Ramsey pier" In Ramsey there is a swivel bridge on the quayside of the harbour. It must be a landmark there, but I was in no mood to paint it after "The Great Wheel." So I went on the promenade. From Blackpool to Llandudno, British beach promenades and piers make me sentimental. For me they are a symbol of the sinking glorious past of Britain.
