"Cross"
When I was painting this crossing, sitting on the stone wall from where I painted the park with a girl on the prior day, Stewart Morrison, a Kirkcudbright-based artist came across and we had a chat for the third time. He introduced me to Port Patrick as a nicer place to paint than here. He talked a lot and he began or closed almost all his sentences with "Aye", a distinctive dialect of Scotland which means "Yes." He taught me to put the finished paintings aside while painting so that a passer-by could stop, look, and hopefully, turn out to be a buyer. So I did so.
