"Ben Arthur's Bothy"
From the wide window of Ben Arthur's Bothy pub we can see a beautiful loch and the mountain. There is an interesting rock on the mountain and I thought it looked like the head of an eagle. But it is called Cobbler or Ben Arthur. What I thought of as a head of an eagle is apparently a last of a cobbler. A bothy is a basic shelter, usually left unlocked and available for anyone to use. It also meant basic accommodation. I ate salmon there. |
