"The Golden Fleece pub #2", Stamford
After almost 24 hours' sleepless travel from Japan, I finally visited The Golden Fleece pub and drank the local beer of Everards Brewery in Stamford. First, I painted the scene including the bar maid, Alice, right in front me, and then I painted another picture of Peter who was a stone mason and already drinking there at one stool away from me at the bar. We three chatted over my paintings and they gave me useful information of painting spots and restaurants. It was a warm welcome and a nice first evening in the UK. Although I hadn't decided where to go from Stanford, I thought I would go up north. For the time being, I decided to stay here and recover from jet lag.
