"The Arch of The George in Stamford" This is one of the picture-postcard scenes of Stamford. The George Hotel's black iron arch with its gallows sign over the road is a land mark in Stamford. There was a traffic light, too, which changed quickly. So, I had to paint the cars quickly. In this town I painted many moving objects, especially people.
