"Winchester Cathedral" This morning we alighted from the Caledonian Sleeper at London Euston Station. Last time I used the berth, it cost £40 but this time it had been increased to £100!! To make good use of the rail pass, we visited Winchester on the same valid day. We checked in at a budget hotel in Slough. There was no water in the evening as they said that a failure of the water supply occurred in the vicinity! They provided us with a big bottle of water! The next morning, they couldn't serve breakfast and refunded the hotel and breakfast bill.
