"Elie" I came to Elie which has a flat, wide, sand beach. I painted the shallow harbour and the yacht from the quay. I had to give up again because of the chilly wind. A wind is good for sailors who sail with the wind and don’t feel the cold wind. But this is the unendurable condition for painters.
