"Dungloe Bar", Derry
I asked the young landlady of the B&B about dangerous parts of the city. She said the conflict had gone away even in her neighbourhood close to the Bogside. I walked to the wall across the preserved gable mural "YOU ARE NOW ENTERING FREE DERRY" to have lunch before I painted the first large picture. I looked in at Peader and Tracyfs Bar which was recommended by a fellow passenger of the train from London Kingfs Cross to Edinburgh. But both of the bars didn't serve any food. According to a guy who was smoking outside Tracyfs, Dungloe was the only bar in the vicinity which served food.
