"Ruined castle and St Mary's Church", Monmouth 02/08
This was the first sketching spot recommended by the TIC. It was on the foot bridge and was rocking when the passers walked behind me as if an earthquake had occurred. Carelessly enough I had forgotten the main set of brushes in my hotel room. So, I had to paint with a small traveler's brush which I use when I paint pub sketches.
