"The Nag's Head", Monmouth 03/08
I returned to The Nag's Head because I thought this was not a tourists' pub but a real local pub. When I went into the toilet there was Giles. He said "Sumi Masen" which means "Excuse me" in Japanese. That was a beginning of a delightful chat. Back at the bar we introduced each other. He announced all the Japanese expressions which he had learnt in a one and half year business trip to Japan. I showed every picture in my current sketch book, which contained mainly pictures of Monmouth. Then many customers there looked at my paintings and some took photos.
