"The Three Wise Monkeys", Colchester
I strolled the town looking for a local traditional pub to enjoy lunch but found only a touristy place and a Wetherspoon. I stopped at a pub that did not serve food and was introduced to the Three Wise Monkeys, which was also near the castle. I had the smoked brisket (beef breast) with my back pressed against the sunlit windowpane, and I thought the portion was large enough even for three people.
