But the person in Number Seven built his deck out into the sea, making it rather vulnerable. They have done this year after year, after each successive construction was gradually eroded by the sea. Eventually the latest reinforcement, too, will be swept away. Nature is an opponent we cannot defeat. For them it's a vicious circle of continual reconstruction.
