"From The Wallace Monument," Stirling.
The Wallace Monument was built in 1869 to honour William Wallace and his troops who fought at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297. When I reached at the foot of the monument by a complimentary shuttle minibus, The Monument loomed up in front of me. I had to look up in an outrageous angle. Eventually I painted this bird's-eye view picture from the top of the Monument. We could see the serpentine of the River Forth, and easily imagined how Wallace defeated English troop at the Stirling Bridge.
