"The Gramer School (Now the Portcullis Hotel)," Stirling.
This was the last site of my Robert Burns trail in Stirling,but this building was built as a school and dwelling house for Dr. Doig with whom Burns spent time in Stirling after Burns' visit to Stirling. While I was painting this picture,the American art teacher who chaperoned students looked in my painting and Syrian girl who worked in London. He followed his students instantly and she and I had a quite long chat.
