"The Sun Pub", Stafford
After I saw my student off at Heathrow Airport, I started my solitary journey. I drifted to Stafford on the basis of a slight hint from the landlady of B&B in Lincoln last year. She had recommended it as a nice place to paint. But now I believe she said Stamford! The landlord of "Leonards Croft" recommended two pubs in which to eat. I preferred the local pub "The Sun" to Wetherspoon's "Painting House".
