"Three primary colour painting in Monica's dining room"
I taught a basic colour mixing technique to Davina and her daughter Alexandra who are Monica's friends. For the first step, I did a contour drawing of a china pot, its lid, and a rabbit head top salt dispenser. For the second step, I left a white surface for the brightest parts and applied a raw sienna wash on the rest of the paper. For the third step, I left the untouched brightest parts white and the second brightest parts raw sienna, yellow, and applied a crimson lake wash on the rest of paper. For the fourth and final step, I finished the painting with a Prussian blue wash on the dark parts.
