"The Rose & Crown pub", Chippenham
I think the UK is an elderly pub-goers'-friendly country. In this pub I witnessed an elderly customer sitting on a high stool at the counter, who drank, drove outside and smoked while sitting in his electric mobility chair (called a senior scooter). On the contrary, in Japan if a senior person drives up to a drinking establishment in his electric mobility chair, he might be reported to the police!
