"Monnow Bridge", Monmouth 01/08
Monnow Bridge is the only remaining fortified river bridge in Great Britain with its gate tower standing on the bridge. The Riverside Hotel where I stayed is on the river Monnow side, not on the river Wye side as I had thought. This time I tried to paint a big picture to make good use of the drying time. Although it exceeded a couple of minutes to the drying time of my washing (35 minutes), I enjoyed this quick painting, and a mum and her son who were enjoying themselves on the riverside were surprised with this quickly finished picture.
