"Grand Hotel", Swansea 02/10
The eleventh short sojourn was Swansea. When I went to the Knighton train station to catch the 9:48 a.m. train to Swansea this morning. Tom was there to see me off. I was surprised and said I would come back again. When I got on the train, there was a Japanese man. I sat next to him. We talked for three hours. He was 61 years old, in his first year of retirement, had been traveling around England for a month, and would return home in 10 days. We had lunch together at a hotel opposite Swansea station.
