"Jack Murphys", Uplands Swansea 02/10
I took a taxi from the station to the guest house, which was a 1.1-mile 26-minute walk, but the driver, perhaps in a hurry, became angry and tried to leave me in the middle of nowhere. I compelled the driver to call the landlady. It took half an hour before she left the dentist's office and appeared outside the guest house where I was waiting. I took my painting equipment and went into town, but it began to rain heavily, so I went to a pub, had a glass of wine with a mozzarella cheese stick, and returned to the guest house. Today I could paint only two pub sketches.
