It had been raining all morning solidly, and I had just arrived at Cornhill wearing a rainsuit when I got a text message from the landlord saying he would send someone to fix the problem at 9:00 a.m. I rushed back to my room. The carpenter-like painter and cleanup crew who had given me the key yesterday connected me to the Wi-Fi. But the signal seemed to be weak.
