I went alone to England this summer. I attended painting holidays in Norfolk and Devon. I found as follows. In Japan, 70 percent of country is mountainous, and its scenery is full of variety. But when we visit England, we find gentle hills everywhere. We also find various town and village scapes from place to place in England. I think that is caused by the building stones of each place. |

I went to England from 24/07 to 11/8 in the year 2003. I stayed The Manor House in Acle, Fairlawns in Sheringham, Amblleside Guest House in Stratford Upon Avon, Cotswold Rooftrees in Bourton On The Water, Coombe Farm Studio In Dittishham Dartmouth and Dolphin Hotel in Paddington London. I attended Seago in summer painting holidays in Norfolk and Landscape Painting holidays in Devon. And I saw the Shakespeare Play "Richard The third " at RST, We Will Rock You at Dominion Theater in London and Gauguin on BBS2 and Ernst Ludwig Kirchner The Dresden Berlin Year at Royal Academy Of Arts in London. I painted about 60 water colours in this tour. So I am satisfied with this summer. Now I thank again for Richard Malcolm Mitze Eric Patricia Mary (She taught me my holidays were Bus man's holidays, and I agreed.) Seiko (She is working at the information center in Stratford.) Jim & Lillian Wendy Penny Jane another Malcolm Sue Perdi Elizabeth and Paul Riley family. |

I planned painting holidays to Nagano this past May holiday. There were 17 participants. I blundered sometimes and at somethings, but I felt they were satisfied and I was too. |
My new painter friend, my son and I visited Bali again in this past spring. I recognized such things in these painting holidays. There is a nice sky and sea. Old men and women, beautiful boys and girls, tired dogs, all of them are living peacefully by the grace of God and nature. I renewed my understanding in Bali. This ordinary (but hard to get in Japan) circumstance makes me revisit here. To paint a picture, keep company with local residents and drink beer. That is it. |
I will go to Bali in this coming spring holidays. It's my pleasure to talk to Balinese young men and women about present and future world. |
