In Fife I was commissioned to paint the pub front by the owner there. He asked me what my philosophy in life was. It was a bewildering question to be asked at my age.
No one in Japan would think of asking me such a question. I pondered it on the rest of my holiday. When I painted gLymington Quay Crabbingh, the people's happiness charmed me. So, I arrived at the conclusion on how I should live. Of course, for me, "Art is my Life". I will try to paint pleasant, happy, beautiful moments right to the end. And I will try to immortalize this fragile fleeting happiness for eternity. I want to express things simply, not in an exaggerated manor with too much detail. or too busy painting.
